Mini bio: Hi, I’m Anna and 20 years old. I live in Germany and graduated high school last year. In the time till I went to university I started blogging about random things but soon decided to share my new experiences in university with you.
What do you do outside of blogging?/What do you like to do on your down time?
In my free time I’m either to be found in the library studying thick textbooks (of course) or doing sports. I really enjoy dancing which I’m doing now for several years. I also love spending time with my friends and having a fun girls night in/out.
What’s the purpose of your blog?
I’m sharing my own experiences and feelings in university as well as tips and tricks to make the first weeks in freshman year easier.
Who’s your target?
Mainly I’m giving tips for newbies in college or university. But there are also great tips for people still going to (high) school or are a few years in college.
What’s the best way for your audience to contact you?
I love reading comments from readers and taking time to answer them.
How would you describe your blogging style?
Authentic, easy to understand with a hint of humor and sometimes a strange grammar but always with love (I mean hey, english isn’t my mother language)
When did you start blogging?
Almost a year ago in the time between high school and university.
What inspired you to start blogging?
After I graduated I had the feeling that a lot around me was changing. So I wanted to share with others what I experienced and help them to be less worried what will happen in the future. Because trust me there are many options for you to choose which will definitely make you insecure which one is right for you.
If you could start blogging all over again, what would you do differently?
Always have a couple of blog posts prepared before publishing and a better planning of what to post when.
How do you motivate yourself to continue blogging?
First of all I love writing. Second it is a great way to relax after a stressful day (or weeks) in university and a great way to share my thoughts and issues about problems or questions. And last but not least I’m glad and very happy when I can help someone who has a similar questions or situations in college like I have even when they are at the other side of the world.
How have you tried to increase your blog traffic? Which way has been the most successful?
Don’t just share everywhere your latest blog post and wait for others to like it. Start engaging with other bloggers, read their posts, comment, like, share… there are so many possibilities. Use them!
What’s your favourite social media platform and why?
I’m a Pinterest-Addicted! It is the most inspiring platform I know where you can save posts for later and will find them easily again.
What’s your favourite blogging group on Facebook?
‘Bloggers Supporting Bloggers’ by the lovely Allie Barker from She created a theme for every day of the week where a different social media platform is promoted.
How often do you publish a post?
Every Saturday at 10:00 a.m. EST is a new post released.
Who’s your favourite blogger before you started blogging and why?
Actually the first blog I ever read (about 7-8 years ago) was from a german blogger called Fee from
Who’s your favourite blogger now and why?
Now I love reading the blog of Zoella ( I know it sounds so cliché but she is working and writing with so much love and created a gorgeous looking website with such lovely small details.
What type of blogs are you interested in reading and why?
I mainly read blogs about helpful tips or DIYs. I think it is great to have something unique in your home you created with love. And best part is when your friends ask you where you got it from you can answer: I made it myself!
List the top 5 blogs you are reading currently:
  1. Zoella –
  2. Lauren Conrad –
  3. Fee ist mein Name – (german blog)
  4. HGTV – (don’t know if you would call it a blog)
  5. Teen Vogue – (again not sure to call it a blog)
Give advice to someone who wants to start blogging:
Just start writing about things you truly love. It doesn’t matter if you already have a ton of readers in the first week. If you are writing with a passion there will be soon enough people to share your issues with.
Tell us one thing your readers don’t know about you:
I truly love the color turquoise because it reminds me of the ocean which is unfortunately so far away from where I live.
Leave a message for your readers:
Always remember you are a special person with a wonderful personality and great character. If you treat others with love they will treat you with love too. I love all of you and wish you the best. XOXO Anna
