Tell us a little bit about yourself (mini bio): I’m 25 & I reside in Portland, OR with my husband, 2 cats and dog.
What do you do outside of blogging (think school or work): I’m a Starbucks barista.
What do you like to do on your down time? Hit the gym, play video games, read, or go hiking when the rain actually lets up.
Blog niche: Fitness.
What’s the purpose of your blog? To help out those people who are just getting started on a fitness or weight loss journey.
Who’s your target? I have something for almost anyone, really.
What’s the best way for your audience to contact you? Facebook is usually the easiest way to reach me.
How would you describe your blogging style? I like what I write about, so I’m pretty enthusiastic. I’m also pretty honest and raw a lot of times.
When did you start blogging? Casually, a little over a year ago. I’ve gotten more serious in the past 3-4 months though.
What inspired you to start blogging? I’ve always enjoyed writing. I honestly started blogging as just a hobby. I’d write whenever inspiration hit me, after a while it became more than that though.
What’s the biggest change in your life since you started blogging? I’ve found I’m more open with myself and others. When I first started blogging none of my friends or family even knew I did it. Now, I’m sharing my posts everywhere.
- Short term: Inspiring others.
- Long term: Monetizing.
If you could start blogging all over again, what would you do differently? Honestly, nothing.
How do you motivate yourself to continue blogging? I don’t usually have to motivate myself, most days it’s something I want to do because I genuinely enjoy it. The fact that my blog has started inspiring people around me to become healthier is also a huge motivator.
What attributes has helped you become successful blogger? I think the fact that I’m completely honest and real in my posts.
How have you tried to increase your blog traffic? Which way has been the most successful? I’m working on that currently. It’s a slow and steady process but Facebook has helped a lot. I’m going to try Pinterest soon.
What’s your favourite social media platform and why? Facebook. It’s just really easy to connect with other people through.

What’s your favourite blogging group on Facebook? I’m part of a few but I’d say my favorite is “Boost your blog.”
Do you have a freebie for your readers? If so, what is it? Do we need to subscribe to receive it? I don’t have anything like that, currently.
What’s your greatest win so far with blogging? Just diving in and doing it. I hosted with wordpress.com for a long time and was scared about paying for my own self hosted site in case it totally tanked, but I’ve been happy with my decision so far.
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve so far with blogging? It takes a lot more time and work than a lot of people think.
Has blogging surprised you in any way? If so, how? ^^^
How often do you publish a post? I try to post a minimum of once a week. Sometimes I post a lot more, other times I might get really busy and miss a week. Oops.
Have you had writer’s block? If so, how did you overcome it? Oh god yes. At that point you just have to sit down and start trying to brainstorm something.
Do you have a blogging schedule? Daily theme? Please share! I don’t really.
Have you guest posted for someone? I have some submissions out, but as far as I know none of them have been posted.
Do you accept guest posts? If yes, tell us about it! I haven’t done any, but it’s not something I’m opposed to.

Who’s your favourite blogger before you started blogging and why? Beauty Beyond Bones, beautybeyondbones.com. She’s completely honest, real and inspirational.
Who’s your favourite blogger now and why? Cookie and Kate, Cookieandkate.com. I’ve gotten more into healthy cooking and eating and have gotten a lot of great recipes and inspiration from Kate.
What type of blogs are you interested in reading and why? As long as it can keep me interested and isn’t as dry and boring as a college textbook, I’ll read it.

It can be really scary at first, especially if you have no idea what the heck you’re doing, but like most things that scare the hell out of us, they end up being worth it after we dive into it.
