Meet Cindy
Let’s get to know YOU:
Tell us a little bit about yourself (mini bio):  Self made success at 18 years old with a little bit of sparkle and a whole lot of ambition, I currently am a student in college. I adore Lilly Pulitzer and Kate Spade, anything fashion related. I love Laduree macarons, playing rugby, running, and watching the Patriots. I’m very hardworking, loyal and genuine. Nothing fake on my blog.
What do you do outside of blogging (think school or work):
I go to school at Lasell college I commute from my house. I am a recent fashion design major turned into communications major. Currently in the process of transferring schools. You can most likely find me running around Boston, shopping, meeting up with friends or working on Newbury Street.
What do you like to do on your down time?
If I am not blogging, doing homework, or working I love to sit back relax, unwind on my couch with a cozy blanket and a cup of tea, watch some Netflix or the news. I never get a chance to sit down anymore and relax, which at my age is insane since I am always on the go!
Blog niche: I’m more of a fashion/lifestyle/ personal blog in my opinion but more fashion.
What’s the purpose of your blog?
I had an online store on Facebook and people were really interested to who I was, and what I aspired to be in life.  People were interested that I had my own creations and a lot of opinions on products. I had a couple of mock blogs in my whole entire life. I loved blogging and connecting with one another. I planned it all out one day and I was so happy with my domain, and what my content had. It just made sense. My life’s insane since I’m always on the go. The Life Of.. “Cin” was always my nickname for a lot of people. The life of sin. It just made sense as it was funny to me. It fit my lifestyle perfectly since I’m always doing random things and I live life with very insane stories.  Blogging makes me really happy as it gives me a voice to put my thoughts out there and to set the record straight sometimes when it comes to fashion or personal life. I love helping people, and I feel like I always give good advice. I love showcasing new handbags and products as well.
Who’s your target?
My target is high school aged girls up to mid twenties. I tend to give out a lot of advice about college and high school to be able to help those girls who need guidance. I feel like my experiences in life can help people along the way with their own life.
What’s the best way for your audience to contact you?
Honestly on Twitter! I’m always on there. On my contact page it even says “TBH just @ me on Twitter” which is typical me. But for anything business it’s strictly my blog email.
How would you describe your blogging style?
I am a complete mess when it comes to blogging if I have to be brutally honest.
I have at least 4 or 5 different blog type pages and I have a lot of different pages dedicated to things I love. For example,
~These are a few of my favorite things showcases my absolute favorite things in the whole world that describe who I am.
~Boston you’re my home; Places in Boston that I love and a lot of food reviews!
~How are you Cin? My personal blog where I share open letters to certain people, or address problems that I currently face. This page is more direct towards the people who feel sad and that are lost in life. To show them that not everyone is perfect, everyone is struggling with something. I for one have been struggling for months and months, but that’s not going to stop me from doing anything that I love.
~Fashion; everything fashion related.
~Tis the season; I love the holidays and fashion is all about changing, just like the seasons. It just made sense that I had to have a section for the seasons. Theres nothing better than getting into the holiday spirit in New England.
When did you start blogging? I started at the young age of 12. Yup middle school. I think my posts were about Justin Bieber or just me venting about everything and anything. I never bought a domain when I was that young. Up until high school I had a bunch of mock blogs that were not successful. It was just me messing around and having fun with different content. But now since I’m in college and have a good following, I took it seriously than my middle school days.
What inspired you to start blogging?
I started blogging to get my voice out there. In high school I didn’t have many friends. In fact I was bullied for 5 years. (still even up to college by the same people). I had all these aspirations in life that I wanted to share with other people. Fashion is one of the things that I always loved and cherished, it’s always been a dream of mine, so why not share with the whole entire world? It gave me voice when other’s didn’t want to hear what I wanted to say.
What’s the biggest change in your life since you started blogging? Honestly It’s just to keep up with the world of fashion, In the Kate Spade community I’m one of the biggest bloggers out there that take photos of new merchandise and I’m one of the few that are able to blog about new handbags before anyone else.
Blogging goals: To finally get a larger audience to capture what my main goal is, to help one another and interact with people with the same interests.
  • Short term: Be able to maintain posts every week.
  • Long term: More followers and loyal readers.
If you could start blogging all over again, what would you do differently?
I would defiantly would of watched out for what I said/ posted. Certain words that should have not been said. There was a huge incident where someone thought I was talking about about them badly on my blog. Which was false. People just like to make up stories and assume things that everything is about them, when in reality this blog is all about me and my issues.
How do you motivate yourself to continue blogging?
I have a lot of people that don’t like me. I find them always creeping on my social media pages, trying to bring me down. This might sound very narcissistic but I love myself. And I will continue to do so after all the backlash and bullying I have received in the past 5 years of my life. So my website gives those bullies something to read, since they’re so obsessed with tearing me down. I don’t focus my energy on them, I focus more on my content and being successful. I am so motivated by NYFW and I will continue to blog about all the experiences I have had in my life. The lavish luxury items everyone dreams about. I want to be a fashion blogger that dosen’t have to fit the stereotypes and what a regular fashion blogger posts. I’m a different person, and if I want to post something that means something to me I will. I focus more on my future rather than dwell on the past.
What attributes has helped you become successful blogger?
I think networking with a lot of different people has defiantly helped me. Joining Facebook pages and sharing my posts defiantly gave me that boost!
How have you tried to increase your blog traffic? Which way has been the most successful?
Pinterest has been helpful, and stumble upon. I tweet about my blog nonstop and I think it annoys the people that know me in real life! haha
What’s your favourite social media platform and why?
INSTAGRAM. I am obsessed since I have so many famous bloggers following me and posting a nice outfit always makes me feel good. I love my Instagram feed and the content that I put out. It’s 100% me.
Most of your traffic comes from which social media platform?
 Defiantly Instagram.
What’s your favourite blogging group on Facebook?
Honestly I don’t even know! there are so many

The joy of being able to express myself.
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve so far with blogging?
Do not focus on the negative people that try to bring you down. You have your own blog that’s hard to maintain. They don’t. Do not write directly about people. (which i never have)

Yes.. November 2016. I had a concussion and screwed up my face after a rugby game. Lost my memory and didn’t post for about a month! I finally had vacation time and that’s when I started up again.
Do you have a blogging schedule? Daily theme? Please share!
I surprisingly don’t. I have class every single day and I have tons of homework to do. I only blog when I am taking a break from homework and work. So i’m always on randomly!

Give advice to someone who wants to start blogging:
Do whatever you want, and don’t stop for anyone. Put out content that interests you! Be fun with it, have great photos and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. There are so many different opportunities for one to achieve.
Tell us one thing your readers don’t know about you: I love sports and competing against people. I play rugby and I’m not afraid to get hit! I might look all girly, but trust me i’m made of steel and will knock someone out.
Anything else you’d like to share with us? Go for it!!!
My blog costs more than a Netflix subscription and Hulu combined. I think everyone should go read my blog.
I’m going to share a little secret that not a lot of people may know. Surprise! I’m transferring schools. Everything at my college has been a waste of my time. I changed majors because of the unprofessional fashion design teachers,  the people that I have associated myself with are mean and rude. My high school bully followed me to the same college, and still makes my life miserable to this day. If you think you’re going through a tough time. Trust me we all are. More details to come in the future.
